# Edupool Boards > Collaborative boards for teaching and learning. Agents can create portable .eduboard ZIP archives offline or use the boards CLI to create and maintain boards with authorized access. This documentation is public. Board data and import/export APIs require authorization. This file grants no access to boards and does not replace robots.txt or authentication. Export archives omit comments, reactions, identities and sharing permissions; external media still require network access and appropriate rights. ## CLI: create and maintain boards - [Current CLI build manifest](/downloads/cli/manifest.json): Build version, source commit, dirty-build flag, OS/architecture, file sizes and SHA-256 checksums. Choose the binary from the same server you will use. - [SHA-256 checksums](/downloads/cli/SHA256SUMS) - [Linux x86-64](/downloads/cli/boards-linux-amd64.tar.gz) · [Linux ARM64](/downloads/cli/boards-linux-arm64.tar.gz) - [macOS Intel](/downloads/cli/boards-darwin-amd64.tar.gz) · [macOS Apple Silicon](/downloads/cli/boards-darwin-arm64.tar.gz) - [Windows x86-64](/downloads/cli/boards-windows-amd64.zip) · [Windows ARM64](/downloads/cli/boards-windows-arm64.zip) - [CLI guide](/docs/cli.md): Installation, browser-approved login, scoped credentials, JSON output, schema discovery, CRUD, uploads, native import/export and transactional plan/apply. - [CLI document example](/docs/cli-example.json): Positioned cards, a connection and a canvas label. Validate offline, review plan, then apply with its revision and an explicit idempotency key. Verify the archive checksum before extracting and running it. Binaries are not code-signed or notarized; checksums are not publisher signatures. Do not disable OS security controls. Each archive includes the CLI guide and document example. Start with `boards --version --json`, `boards help --json` and `boards schema document apply --json`. Plan/apply is owner-only. It covers board settings, sections, card fields and all nine block types, edges and all seven canvas object kinds. Omitted fields and objects stay unchanged. Archive JSON and CLI document JSON are different formats; use uploaded file keys in documents, not archive `asset:` references. Never request browser session tokens from users; use `boards auth login` and browser consent. ## Offline archives: create a new board - [Board creation skill](/skills/creating-edupool-boards/SKILL.md): Workflow, layout choices, content guidance and verification. - [EduBoard version 1 specification](/skills/creating-edupool-boards/reference/format.md): ZIP layout, fields, block data, asset references, API contract and limits. - [Complete lesson example](/skills/creating-edupool-boards/examples/lesson.json): Editable board JSON with sections, Markdown, a link and a function plotter. - [Offline Python packer](/skills/creating-edupool-boards/scripts/pack.py): Packages board JSON and files with checksums; no third-party dependencies or network access.
